Your wedding is one of the most important events in your life and the way you look and feel is of paramount importance.
The qualified staff at Bridal Revival Formal & Bridal Wear understand this and pride themselves on providing personal and friendly service with expert advice and can create a total look for your entire bridal party.
A Bride’s first visit to the salon is usually an obligation free exploration where she can discuss her ideas. She is welcome to try on gowns from our extensive collection, however please note that appointments are required. She may wish to purchase of the rack, or she is welcome to make various changes in order to create her own unique look.
To complete the shopping experience a bride will find a current range of veils, tiaras, art deco jewellery, lingerie, bridesmaids and flower-girl gowns.
The all important groom and his attendants will also find a choice of the latest suit styles and accessories to make life easier.
We are proud to have a specialised team at our store who carry out any alterations you may need on your gown or dresses. Even if you have not purchased the item from us, we can still carry out your alterations. Costs vary depending on the amount of work needed, but we provide you with an obligation free quote before any work is carried out.
Payments for alterations are cash only.
1. Do I need to make an appointment to come in?
Yes appointments are required and can be arranged by calling us during store hours
2. How far ahead do I have to order my wedding gown or bridesmaids dresses?
To place a gown on order from our designers, we advise that you place an order with AT LEAST 4 months lead time. Sometimes ordering can take longer, especially during specific periods, such as Christmas. If you don’t have as much time as 4 months, some gowns can be “rushed” through AT AN EXTRA CHARGE or alternatively you can purchase off the rack.
3. What if I loose weight before the big day?
We will order your gown to the size and measurements you are at the time of order. If you loose weight we can alter your gown to fit perfectly. It is easier to make a gown smaller than try to make it bigger.
4. Do alterations cost extra?
Yes they do, and costs vary depending on the gown style, and the amount of work involved. We provide you with an obligation free quote before any work is carried out.
5. What happens when I order my gown?
Once you have decided on your perfect gown, we require 40% deposit to place your order. Then once the gown arrives in store we let you know! You then finalize the payment, and book in your first fitting, which usually takes place approximately 4-6 weeks before your wedding. At this fitting session you will need to bring in your shoes and underwear that you will be wearing on the day. Then you will book in a final fitting in for approximately 2 weeks before the wedding. At this fitting you will take your gown home.
6. Do dresses come in different colours?
Yes, depending on the gown!! Most gowns come in various colours, the most popular being ivory and white. Latest colour trends include beige, latte and oyster. Materials can also vary, however this is not quite as prevalent amongst designers. You can also vary certain styles to suit your taste, so just ask if there’s something you’d like to change!
7. What sizes do you have to try on?
We have an extensive size range in store, ranging from size 6 to 20. However we usually carry each gown in one size.
8. When do you receive new styles?
Generally designers release new lines twice a year. however we receive new gowns and suits throughout the year, so it’s best to check our website to see when new stock arrives!
